*COMPLETED* family found in 1861? ADDED

Post by kdp »

Hi folks,
another brick wall for you to ponder...

1851 census.. Pensnett Bromley Kingswinford
Thomas Parish born 1821...............................
Mary Parish born 1817 norton worcester..............previously Kilby nee Bennett **
Mary Parish 1841.........................................Thomas' child from previous marriage, mother deceased
Ann Parish 1842.......................................... " " " " " " "
Elizabeth Parish 1850....................................Thomas and Mary's child
William Kilbery 1841.....................................Mary's Child from previous Marriage
Caroline Kilbery 1843.................................... " "
Sarah Kilbery 1847....................................... " "

This whole family seemingly disappears in the 1861 census, If anyone could help me find them, particulary the Par(r)ish children I would be most grateful
Thank you
Kim

** please note 2 spellings of Marys previous married name and way transcribed on this census

thanks for replies guys :P
Mallosa that looks proming thank you, I had previously found that marriage as Thomas Gould is a relation (son of Thomas' sister) and i was trying to work out if jane was connected to the family, or just coincidentlly has the same name...I had found them in 1881, so OMG thank you, i have been looking for this family for such a long time, and i was only a step away! But if Jane is Marys why is she not on the 51 census???? curious...Thank you for info

Lol Gardner I am permanently confused, thank you for the suggestion, I dont think that this is the correct family, (tho I may be wrong) as my thomas has 2 of his children from first marriage with him in 51.. and am unable to find any of them in 61, and i think thomas dies in 1852, but this has got me thinking, esp as thomas' fathers name was James?.

It seems that 61 is the key...
Thank you so much folks...will update if i find any more

Hi Mallosa,
No i dont have that cert, just the index..
I found Thomas and Marys parish record for the marriage, Mary Kilby, fathers name William Bennett and i found Marys previous marriage and census,

This is confusing me profusely!
I cant find on the indexes any of these children that yourself and Gardner have so kindly found, was hoping to order a cert to confirm its the correct family?

Thanks mallosa

Thanks Peter,
James Thomas is Thomas' nephew...his brother Johns son. thanks.

Right...

Thomas born 1818 to James and Elizabeth in Brierley Hill marries Ann Salt and have 3 children
Mary 1841, Ann 1843 and Ann has a child Maria born 1839, altogether in 41 in Kingswinford. Def right as Richard Salt with them.
Have birth cert for a William born 1845 but by 51 William is living with an aunt, and never lives with father.
Ann dies and Thomas remarries, Mary Kilby nee Bennett in 49

1851 census.. Pensnett Bromley Kingswinford
Thomas Parish born 1821...............................
Mary Parish born 1817 norton worcester..............previously Kilby nee Bennett **
Mary Parish 1841.........................................Thomas' child from previous marriage, mother deceased
Ann Parish 1842.......................................... " " " " " " "
Elizabeth Parish 1850....................................Thomas and Mary's child
William Kilbery 1841.....................................Mary's Child from previous Marriage
Caroline Kilbery 1843.................................... " "
Sarah Kilbery 1847....................................... " "

and up until i posted, thats all i know for def...
Having not been able to find anyone other than william and Maria in 61, I it seems wrongly assumed Thomas had died and Mary had remarried and 'changed' the childrens names on further census'...which is when i found a death entry for thomas in 52 which has right age on..but i didnt order cert....curiously enough because when William marries in 68 he states father but it doesnt say deceased?

Hi folks...
Its looking very much like mistranscribed, but would love your opinions please :P
Gardner found them as Perry, on a different site they are as Parry

Thomas Parry age 43 born 1818 Burow hill, Staffs ( looks like brierley hill on orig to me)
Mary age 44 born 1817 Evesham Worcestershire
Sarah age 16, 1845 storebridge, burnley (look's like stourbridge bromley to me) aka Kilby??
Elizabeth age 11, 1850 "
Jane, 8, 1853 "
Thomas, 6, 1855
James, 4, 1857
Charles 1, 1860 Tipton Staffordshire

Do you think i should go with this?
