I hear you lot are thinking of going over to European time, as apparently this will generate millions in exports!
Bet there's a bit of a debate going on! :-)

poss 2 hr forward in spring and 1 hr back keeping us in line with europe dont think its just business also carbon emmisions as street lighting may not be used during the summer months as will be light a lot later, but the scottish minsters plus other dont want it mainly because for farming reasons ? getting animals to market etc, why they cannot alter openning market time to suite i dont know ?

I did wonder why buisnesses that do a lot of trade with europe don't just alter their working hours!
As far as street lighting - do you mean that British councils turn the lighting off late at night? If they don't it wouldn't make any difference. It would make a difference as far as domestic lighting goes.
Did have a thourght though  - if the rest of europe also think they can save on carbon emmisions by changing their summer/winter times, then it'd be back to square one!

Anyone know how they record the times of babies born on the nights of clocks back? -- how will they know in the future whether they were born at 1:15am before the clocks moved back or after?

Good question - they probably have a standard way of doing it. If all births were recorded GMT, regardless of summer/winter then there'd be no problem.
I know we sometimes have trouble with our computers on that night. Some of our equipment has a funny round midnight anyway (due to loads of different computers talking to each other), it's always worse when the clocks go back or forward!

I changed all the clocks in our house or so i thought.
I went to bed last night feeling a bit tired after watching MOD2 and just clicked my electric alarm clock to go off at 0725hrs.
I thought when i went down stairs how dark it was.
It was 0650hrs not 0750hrs.Still i just went to work an hour earlier and left 1 hour earlier. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
