I need to find any information on a Albert Whale
Albert Whale was born on the 9th May 1882. His father was John Providence Whale and his mother was Mary Ann Whale. He was baptised at St Peter, Stepney on the 24th May 1882. His father was a umbrella maker.
Other than the baptism record (1c 561) I cannot find anything else on this chap. I have searched the census from 1891 - 1901, marriage information or date of death. I think he may be linked to the Whale family living in and around the Battersea, Wandsworth area.
I have also tried to get information on John and Mary (Census, Marriage and deaths etc) but nothing. I have been using Ancestory.co.uk but wondered if anyone out there is using an alternative site, that might shed some light on this family.
I would be very grateful for any information on this.
Thank You.

Re: Need some help please
I looked them up last week after another post you did.
Trouble was, Whale is too common to narrow down possible emmigration records.
Ancestry gives you the widest range of data but I also have several other subscriptions to help fill the gaps.
Find My Past is excellent for military and emmigration records.
The Genealogist is the best for Parish Records, overseas, Non Conformist and military BMD.
None of those sites helped much as there is not enough information to narrow down the search.
Even the marriage entry in the parish register for John and Mary Ann was devoid of usefull information.

Re: Need some help please
Hello Mark
Thanks for checking this out. Nothing more frustrating than finding an individual which could be the key figure in the whole tree and not finding any other information on him or others associated with him but I am grateful for your time on this.
With regards to the resource sites, like I mentioned, I am using Ancestry.co.uk at present and was interested in the Genealogist site. I have read some reviews that indicate that this was better but reluctant on purchasing a subscription only to find that there is no more advantage on amount of information it provides.
What is your preferences?
Thanks again for your time and interest
Mark.

They compliment each other. If I was to chosse one site over any other it would be Ancestry. But I find I need several to fill in the gaps.
