A newsagent!

I have this information from the a lady investigating the same surname as me, but i cant find any concrete facts to support it - could you help?

The newsagent in Elephant & Castle I have was owned by William Gowler died in 1950s
Had two children Gladys & a son George born 1914.

I can find a George Arthur Gowler b 1913 (Q1 1914 in Freebmd) With marriott as a mother, but then no marriage and no Gladys.

The only relevant William Gowler I can find who dies in the 50s is in Lambeth in 1951 - do you think this is the one?
