Any coin collectors?
Wolvie has been having a sort out
and found a load of coins
in a decimal pencil case...remember those in the 70's
now one of them looks like a george iii gaming coin 1701
don't think worth a lot
but anyone know about coins
lots of threepenny bits
and loads of pennies

Wonder if that was a way that they could not be accused and sentenced to death for
counterfeiting!
As the coin was obviously not a genuine guinea

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

About the time of decimilisation, my hubby was working in Winson Green prison, replacing some worn out windows. There was a guy there who spent all day walking from one place to another with a wheelbarrow. He came past the workmen one day and said "giz a tanner for a fag mate" - John said "we don't have tanners any more - we've gone decimal now - so he said "well, giz ondful o' them then. Been a family joke for a long while now.
There's no place like home ......
