Hi Gary, what was his fathers occupation?

Not sure in 1901 but his Fathers occupation appears as House decorator on a 1925 marriage certificate, so would assume same? I can tell you his Father was born in 1877 so would be around 24 in 1901.

I have the certificate but its quite worn Peter. There are 2 witnesses which I belive are the Fathers. One is a hughes, the other a West but I can't really make out the initials before the surnames.

Just got off of the phone with my Aunt (my Grandfathers daugther) who supplied me with the siblings names previously - still confusion about Fredrick & Thomas BUT she told me that they had lived in Sanford Terrace during the war. She also confirmed that Wiliam John West was 75 when he died around 1940, which back dates to 1865!!!!

I need to do some crosss referring now, but I think you found them
