Ancestry broken again!

Post by MarkCDodd »

Everytime they add a new feature they break something.

Today they introduced a "View Relationship to Me" button.

Now, whenever you try and save a record to an exiting person, it will only allow you to save it to a new personin a new tree.

Idiots!

I did save it, but by "printing" to pdf or microsofts image writer. I used to be able to right click and save the image, but they've buggered that up too! :?

Don't know if this works on all pc's. On ours if you select print and instead of your printer (there should be a drop down menu) select microsofts image writer and "print" as normal - it'll ask you where you want to save the image to. Image writer was standard on our pc, so you probably have it.
For PDF's I think you need a special program.
Hope this helps

I also can't save them with vista, infact there is not much I can use ith vista :( my FTM, NBI, software that came with my digital camera, Scanner just to mention a few. So think it will be cheaper to save for a windos laptop than change all my software.

This is a bit long winded but this os how I go it on vista...
Click Save this image
A box comes up to save as
I browse Folders and click documents
type what to name it
then I get a message saying
for your security this file was saved to Temporary Interner Files Folder
Do you want to open this file?
Click yes
double click C
double click Users
double click where yu saved it
double click documents
find it in there and click
then click file
make a copy
and save where you want it
!!!!!

There was something about it I read, I#ll look for it!
