Went in for a sarnie came out with a headache and skint!!

Post by Northern Lass »

Went into subway for a sarnie yesterday
how complicated is that menu!

I couldn't read it for a start without me bins
and there were so many choices but you need a pew to digest all the info!

Ended up having a chicken, bacon and mayo and onion
chicken was sparse
bacon was undercooked
and bread was a 6inch roll which was okish

£3.49!!!

not going there again
cookies were delicious though and service good

It does baguettes made to order and then to take away but there are about 5 sorts of bread and 10 sorts of fillings and every time you think they are going to give you your food there seems to be another question to answer.! Hence the headache I suspect!

"do you want fries with that love"
or as in the black Country

"do you want fries with that babs"

I once looked at their menu from outside and that was enough :? so much choice and I only like wafer thin bread so gave it a miss.

Their spicy meatball sanga is heaven in a bun.

Gotta agree Subway is the best...
Love their Italian special.. lots of salami and olives on a toasted Italian herb.. mouth watering.. one word divine..

My kids hate it.. way too healthy for them.. now they would prefer KFC... yuk!!
I live in my own little world. But it's ok....they know me here!

We have them here too, I've only been in once - very disappointed.
Trouble was I confused it for a (then) recently opened local version which was cleaner, better choice and cheaper not to mention the food was also better - but that may be because I chose the wrong thing.
The homegrown place started with one branch about ten years ago, now they're everywhere and have shown Subway their heels  (And they have a bonus card, so every tenth is free)

Never been in to a subway and after reading the leaflet that came through the door last night , I'm not tempted. There are miniscule symbols against their leaflet that need a full blown telescope to see not just your bins! They say most of the meat is either "formed" or "reformed" that is mushed up and glued back together again with preservatives and guar gum or whatever else they use-YUM!
