The English men gymnasts did very well. Be hard for them in the olympics though....
An Australian wrestler was disqualified in the Gold Medal match and is not very popular at home. We hate bad sports.
One of our cyclists, who would have won the Gold Medal, was also disqualified. It is debatable if he did anything wrong but his gestures to the judges later on did not go down too well in Australia.
Accept the decision and show some sportsmanship. That is what we expect.
I loved Kenya winning their first ever swimming Gold Medal!
Medal table looks a bit biased at the moment but others should catch up to Australia a bit in the athletics and some other sports.

Shouldn't that read Great Britain??
nope as in the commonwealth the other parts of GB enter as seperate nations
I stand corrected Just get a bit fed up of (nearly) all danes saying "Oh you mean England" when I say I'm from GB. I blame the telly "Storbrittanien" is apparently too much of a mouth full, so even the news gets lazy! I may have been born in England, but I grew up in Wales, so I feel connected to both - I'm very definately British, not English.

Logic merely enables one to be wrong with authority.
I'm sorry Marky but does anyone really care about the Commonwealth Games. A lot of athletes have stayed at home to concentrate on a "Bigger Meet" later this month. It's such a shame.
There are still some of the best athletes in the world.
Not just ranked the best in the Commonwealth but the world.
Many of the cyclists, swimmers, track & field athletes, shooters, archers and divers are ranked No 1 or in the top three in the world.
Many of the teams sports also have the No 1 teams participating.
And the British certainly care as this gives them a chance to test their 2012 prospects.
About the only sport England didn't send their best was the cycling which is a pity as its left Australia without their usual competition. Australia have won all but one of the gold in cycling so far. England might have won a couple of those.
You might not give a stuff Rob but the millions in Australia and the hundreds of millions around the world watching it certainly do.
Did i say i didn't give a stuff my beligerant Aussie Cobber? You really must do something about that " Colonial Complex" of yours. Read carefully what i said.
