William Baker and marriages

Post by Northern Lass »

We have a William Baker with father Richard here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =716712514

Now we need to sort who he married out.

We have him marrying a Mary J Dingley
Then I think he dies and wife goes onto marry someone else
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =255810750
marriage for William Baker and Mary J Dingley is down for a look up

We think that 2 sibs (William Baker and Elizabeth Jane Baker)
marry 2 sibs ( Sampson Dingley and Mary J Dingley)

now on census Paari son of Sampson and Mary J is with G. parents Richard Baker
so that couple are ok
but

this William Baker the person that contacted me has this....and a note that William Baker with father Richard married 3 times as below.

1) Hannah Cooksey 1870 - marriage record gives Richard as William's father /
1870 BAKER William COOKSEY Hannah Dudley, St James Dudley Register Office 202/005/388

2) Mary Portman (previously Timmington b 1852)Their 1877 marriage record gives Richard as William's father and Selina Baker is a witness
1877 BAKER William PORTMAN Mary Dudley, St James Dudley Register Office 202/008/149

3) Ann Tilley 1887 Rowley Regis
1887 BAKER William TILLEY Ann Rowley Regis, St Giles Sandwell Register Office 18/7/100

so the William Baker and Mary J Dingley marriage (which will be checked) may not have father Richard Baker
and be another father altogether

anyone any ideas on this?
