Our daughter is fantastic at any kind of baking or cooking, doesn't get the gene from me

When she comes home, she looks in the cupboard or fridge, gathers ingredients and hey presto a meal appears just like Ready Steady Cook. When she makes Christmas cakes, she even makes the marzipan herself. She also makes jam, marmalade and chutney.

Marzipan, fondant icing and fruit cake - a combination not of my liking!!! :(
As a child the only bit that interested me was making a snowscape on top!!

Now mince pies, a totally different ball game. I will soon be making my mincemeat :P

Hi BC

Can you ask her if you can make marzipan with any other nuts? I can't stand almonds.
