Ok I am getting a bit confused

I have brought those 3 Thomas Samuel and Nancy together here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =167364735

so do we think that they are one family and can any others be added to them?

Me too. I've been going around in circles all night. It looks like there are 2 Joseph & Mary's both with sons, Thomas. The Thomas b. 1793ish belongs to the family with Ragan in it. And I think he went to live in Kington, Herefordshire.

The Thomas b 1802ish is the brother of Samuel & Nancy.
......

I think!!!

I know drives you nuts!!

So we are as far as we can with this at the mo?
What we have we agree on I think re what has been added so far.
I have that marriage for Joseph to look up

It would be good to look up all the marriages for the ones we have as sibs
if anyone has any of the transcripts handy for any of them
see who wits are

As I understand it we have these baptisms all at RR, all with parents Joseph and Mary Hackett.

Thomas 24 Feb 1793
Samuel 29 Dec 1793
Sarah 25 Nov 1794
Joseph 15 Oct 1797
Thomas 18 July 1802
Nancy 10 Jun 1804
Raguel 25 Dec 1804

Plus a Joseph b abt 1807

Samuel, Thomas (1802) and Nancy seem to be living next to each other in Cox's Lane

The other Thomas (1793) is perhaps visiting Ragan in 1861, in Old Hill. And the Joseph born about 1807 and Sarah seem to fit with them as Ragan is used as a name.

So I think I agree with you Diane, two families.

And yes, I think Thomas 1793 went to Kington. I think it must be his son Thomas who has a son Ragne T Hackett, born about 1858.

1851 Kington

Certainly an Old Hill connection as in 1861 Benjamin Hackett in Kington has his brother Joseph aged 46 born Old Hill, staying with him.

So, tow families:

Samuel 29 Dec 1793
Joseph 15 Oct 1797
Thomas 18 July 1802
Nancy 10 Jun 1804

And:

Thomas 24 Feb 1793
Sarah 25 Nov 1794
Raguel 25 Dec 1804
Joseph b abt 1807

Marriages?

Joseph Hackett to Mary Stokes 5th Aug 1792 Kingswinford

Joseph Hackett to Mary Parkes 16 July 1793 Halesowen

both extracted IGI, also one submitted for Rowley Regis 1794 to Mary, Joseph said born 1769.

The Halesowen one has witnesses Richard Fiddian and John Parkes. For what it is worth, there is a submitted entry for Thomas Hackett born Old Hill 1793, parents Joseph Hackett and Mary Parkes. But no relying on that.

IF these 2 marriages are our 2 families, then the timing makes it likely that they line up thus:

Joseph Hackett to Mary Stokes 5th Aug 1792 Kingswinford
Children:
Thomas 24 Feb 1793
Sarah 25 Nov 1794
Raguel 25 Dec 1804
Joseph b abt 1807

Joseph Hackett to Mary Parkes 16 July 1793 Halesowen
Children:
Samuel 29 Dec 1793
Joseph 15 Oct 1797
Thomas 18 July 1802
Nancy 10 Jun 1804

But it's too close to call.
