Any further requests of these should be sort through Census, Civil & Parish Registration Lookup Request

Simple logic

Alec black country topics census, Pr, Etc are normallty done within the topic in the black country section as we would be continously running two to three topic in two to three section which is pointless as no one would no where they were at

This is Discussion section not Lookup so everthing is up for discussion

 Since there's no definitive 'Joseph' here's all of them born in Halesowen and living there in 1851

dumping all the josephs you can find in the 1851 Halesowen might not be the best way to solve the problem might only confuse it, my i ask what was your reasoning behind this ? as he might not be on the census ?

Absence of a definitive Lookup means we need to 'discuss' what is available and as "he might not be on the census" these serve for elimination purposes

If the site wants to run one umbrella topic with no specifics or boundaries then all findings must be placed under that umbrella
It is for query poster Linell to decide what he considers and what he dismisses -Just as a query cannot give too much information similarly with an answer

Hope this helps you Pete

Okedoke well as this was my initial posting I am happy to have any "discussion" (as long as it is relevant to the thread)
and yes then I/we can decide what to include or not include on the Connections tree.

Glad of your input Alec.

So moving on.... any ideas as to where we go from here... if anywhere!
In finding Meshach and Ellen and a possible father Benjamin who may or may not be the same father for both... which is where we came in1

We have the death for Meshach.. here is what we have so far..

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections

not sure what you mean with regards to that marriage in 1839 if you mean the census info for this couple I think it was posted early on here
no Ellen or Meshach with them in 1861

[quote="linell"]1861
Whitehall Halesowen
Benjamin 44
Matilda 44
Thomas 19
George 17
James 12
Catherine 10
Frederick 7
William 4

This is the marriage

1839
HACKETT Benjamin CLIFT Matilda Dudley, St Thomas Dudley Register Office 204/002/282

cant see it being that Benjamin as meshach is a lodger in 1861 with another family the Whites next door to Joseph Hackett and Mary Jones wife

and we ran with this Benj and wife Matilda here....

Right outside the square now  .... thinking hey we've tried everything else.. so I searched for alternate ways to spell Meshach, and find a set of names.. ok bear with me.. my long shot thought that maybe there's some correlation between these biblical names Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego (book of Daniel)

Poss bro to Meshach

I searched the whole of the 1851 Census Halesowen for a Meshack anything :!: Didn't find one Meshack in Halesowen of any age for that time period. I just do not think he is on the Census, think we should give up looking for him in 1851. Thanks FS for your efforts, I too remember Meshach and Abendigo, can't remember why they were in the Bible now , forgotten the story:!: linell
