Hello
Hello,
my name is Dean Shakespeare.
I am researching my family history and in the usual way of surfing the net found this site (it was recommended to me).
I have tried over the years to put together my tree with various levels of success.
When I started I only had my birth certificate - no other information and no relatives - I was adopted. I never knew my mum or saw her, she sadly passed away in 2005. I found that out quite by accident.
As far as I knew she was still alive when I began, so I 'started' to plot my ancestors and discover my roots by jumping back to her grandparents so she never had to know. But by chance or fate I made contact with a living relative who told me about my mum.
I went back as far as I could in a straight line to gain an identity and discover what my ancestors did and who they were.
My next mammoth and quite impossible challenge is to trace my roots down my fathers line - but I don't even have a name. So that is not likely to happen, but it would put the icing on the cake.
I don't want to meet him or want anything from him. I just need a name to start me off.
So that's me, I hope I haven't bored you with the intro. I have put together a website, feel free to have a look.
Any feedback or tips would be appreciated.
Kind regards
Dean Shakespeare

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Re: Hello
Hi Dean you made it!...welcome!
Well you are a something cousing to me!.... we need to work that out.
So you and I have a common ancestor Ferdinando Shakespeare and it would be great to get your info on the
huge Black Country tree that you already know about.
Let me know when you want to join in on that one! send me a pm
We have a dedicated Black Country section, just scroll down and join us in any discussions down there.
For any other area you have the General discussion section up the top here....we cater for all areas!
Perhaps open up a topic in the General discussion re your search for your father and help and advice...what area are we talking about?
Was there info on your birth certificate linked to the GRO adoption section?
I think you can apply for adoption info via them.

Re: Hello
hi Dean.
Hope you are well. We made contact 12 months ago about the Shakespeares through GR and then email. I sent you some pics and info on Ezra. Shall have to look at your website. I have a bit more info on Ezra's wife and a photo of her and some of their daughters if you want them. We are still not 100% sure of Benjamin's parents but are inclined towards Edward and Mary nee Boxley. Any ideas?
