Witnesses Thomas Hackett and Claire Hadley.

The first census I found Meshach on was 1871, he was living at 194 Crescent, Hasbury. I could find no Birth Cert.

I have been looking and the only one that I could find for a birth regis is a Tromans in 1844 Dudley but he belongs to a Matthew and susannah.

On the 1851 census there is a William Rose with a Jane and they have kids Hannah age 7 Emma age 4 and Thomas 3 mths.

Could that be the sister of Hannah Rose that marries John Andrews. I think it might be.

PJ do you know anymore about that family?

William is a nailer b Worcs northfield age 37.
I think she may be a Jane wheeler not sure...my head is spinning with this lot!

All I have on William Rose is a possible maiden name of wife Jane Page and yes the children tie up with Hannah, Emma and Thomas. They have her age wrong on the 1851 census but correct on 1861.

On the 1851 I found the family in warwick b'ham and Hannah is age 7 which tallies with her marred age 19
so b 1844.

Think I saw the family on a later census and it said the Jane with a William Rose was a Jane Wheeler but think I lost the plot by then!

those 2 Andrews in 1881 must be Emmas kids as Pete flagged
need the marriage looked up I will add it to the list. see if that Emma who marries John is dau of a Wm nailer.

Thomas Hackett was Meshach's brother he was born abt 1879 and died in WW1 at Flanders on 28/5/1918. He married Phoebe Hadley about 1900 on the 1881 Census they were at 10 Market Street Blackheath.

I am confused....how can Meshach marry in 1863 this Thomas Hackett be a witness and yet not born until 1879

Well I am lost on this one now too many Hacketts!

I have looked and looked and cannot find Meshach or Ellen with a Benjamin prior to their marriages.

I think it may be an idea to find the witnesses at the marriages
any other ideas?

Is it a coincidence that the witnesses to Meshach and Hannah were Thomas Hackett and Claire Hadley. Then Meshach's son Thomas married Phoebe Hadley?

Will try and have a look later, must get on with the preperations for Christmas!

It's not this family NL they are my Gt and Gt Gt Grandparents, they are on BCC. Could this Ellen be a Widow? Has PJ got the Marriage Cert? linell.

as PJ says odd that a Phoebe Hadley marries Thomas Hackett later on....is Claire her mother?
