*Arc tbc* ---Black Country History site

Post by gardener »

Has anyone used this since the re-design?

http://blackcountryhistory.org

I am having trouble understanding how the search system works. It was never the easiest site to search but now it seems even worse! And if you want to go really crackers then select the "Subjects" towards the bottom right hand side. If you are lucky (or not) then you get a "rotatating tag cloud" which whizzes round really fast.

This is the site that used to have all those handy will extracts but now I can't find them  No doubt it is just me.

I've not found anything useful on it yet.
Will extracts would be handy!

I found it very easy to use and find things.

The Cloud Thingy worked quite well but is not as user friendly as a simple list.

Whilst having a look I came across this Job description.....

William Bradburn of Wednesfield, artificial manure manufacturer.

Sounds like a politician

Apparently, this web site isn't finished yet. It's still a "work in progress" as not all of the "tree structure" has been downloaded yet. Don't bother using the subject cloud (does your head in), just click on "advanced search" instead.
