Hello. I've been researching my family history on and off for a number of years with some sucess but have never joined a forum like this before. The main reasons for joining are firstly to expand my knowledge and secondly because I have come up against two brick walls in my search. Strangly one at each end of my tree. I am researching the JELL (a good old kentish name it would seem) family line which I though would be relatively easy given the unusual surname (how wrong I was).
So I'm hopimg you can all help me out and point me in the right direction.
I have joined Ancestry.co.uk for six months on the world subscription to get me started.
If anybodies interested I sort of got this for free.
I bought a copy of Family Tree Maker 2010 which included the six months subscription from the publishers at
http://www.avanquest.com/UK/education/family-tree/
This costs about £99 but with the following code you get 50% off
FTMWORLD50
Therefore paying about £49 and getting the subscription free.
Hope this is useful
Hello looking forward to finding the skeletons in my cupboar

hi shaneclare welcome to the forum
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.
