Has anyone found James K (son of Noah) and Hannah Hobday in 1861 at all yet? And no marriage for Priscilla and Noah? Any one think of why the Kendricks seemed to have such an aversion to marriage?

It could be that they were Noncomformists and the records are not in the IGI.

Yes Jimmy, that's what I'm thinking. Would there be records in Dudley archives if we found out what denomination they were?

Anyway I think this is James (son of Noah) in 1861:

I dont have access to the 1861 census, but there is a ANN KENDRICK born about 1839 in Bromyard, living in Staffordshire it might be worth checking that one out.
1871 says she was born Bromyard.

I have a copy of the Nonconformist book, but it don't include marriage's, so I don't know where to look.

Ok so most of the info for James Kendrick son of Noah and Priscilla and James's wife, Hannah Hobday who he married is on here!

We still don't have a marriage for Noah and Priscilla Worton ( we are spelling it Whorton on the site to aid searching.)
but that could be anywhere! or not at all!

There is that possible bapt for Noah but it is 1808 and he is consistently 1811 on census..so what do we think on that bapt for Noah?

We have a James Kendrick and Hannah ( possibly allport) and I think most of that recent info has been added by Rachel apart from the marriage....do we believe it is Allport?
Rachel your family what do you think...might be worth adding a note of that marriage in the notes- if we could find out the church I could look it up! ...is it on IGI anyone?

Just to add quickly, before you archive this. There is a public member tree on ancestry with this family, and they also have Noah Kendrick as marrying Priscilla Worton, but no date or place of marriage. They have Priscilla as being christened in Birmingham (St Phillips). I have an unconfirmed line (not Kendrick, think it's my Bate/Bates line) which seems to go back to Worton's in Birmingham, and I'm pretty sure one of them was a Priscilla? So, I might bizarrely have connections to this line of Kendricks, just via a completely different route? The mind boggles lol. Something tells me I really need to get my entire tree on connections.
