Re: gone missing
As to where they have gone there are various possibilities ---
1) they are both dead
2)one is dead and the other left children with aunt and uncle to a) start a new life alone b) marry someone else
3) one deserted the other and then a) and b) as in 2)
4) they are both alive and have had a new baby so aunt and uncle are looking after the older siblings
5) they have emigrated and intend to send for children later
6) well -- you have probably got the idea by now so it is over to your imagination and what paper work you can find!

Re: gone missing
Hi All
my investigations up to now if im rightthe reasons james dawson is not with the newlove family at exeter street stockton in 1901 is i believe because he got married, and moved on.the absence of thomas and mary wikinson also at this time i am still investigating, there is a death for a mary wilkinson at the age of 24 so i will investigate that possibility,as it put her in the time zone, around about the time agnes my grandfathers sister was born (IT COULD BE SHE DIED DURING CHILD BIRTH)? agnes turned up at exeter st aged 6, exeter st was the next move for the newlove family after portrack lane so i think agnes was born on portrack lane farm, and moved with the newloves and robert h her brother my grandfather, and steven dawson to exeter st 1901 by 1911 the newloves have moved again this time to 45 craister st stockton, here we find the absence of george newlove who i believe died in 1905 margaret newlove is now head and classified as widow. Agnes is now missing,so is steven, and the only one who remains is my grandfather robert who by now is employed as a loco fireman.two years hence from this he will marry my grandmother lilian Dinsdale.
any thoughts on this would be welcomed still awaiting grandfathers mar cert.
regards RR

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Re: gone missing
Sorry I didn't explain that very well
I meant that Agnes Wilson in 1901 fits Agnes Wilkinson up to a point ie same first name, age
Surname Wilkinson- to - Wilson could be a transcription error from employer not listening correctly or being bothered about a servant or she lied
Place of birth Norland rather than Stockton -- raises questions -- employer couldn't be bothered? Norland is close to Stockton?(I don't know that -would need to look it up) or she lied
I just felt it was close enough to consider and that one possiblity would be to "discount" her by finding Agnes Wilson better match in 1901 and so decide she was not a possibility for our Agnes Wilkinson.
