Sarah was mistranscribed as Laser Rendrick LOL. Ancestry is awful sometimes! Another one I'd never have found. She may well be the Sarah I was looking for, will have a nose around who was living nearby. EDIT - Although I just noticed she is dittoed under Henry Heath and his wife as also being born in Churchill, so maybe not one of mine. So frustratiiiiiing.
Not too sure how all the Cradley ones you found might fit in. I'm having trouble enough with the Stourbridge lot . Your help is much appreciated though because these mistranscriptions are making it difficult to say the least.
<LOL> Rachel, Laser Rendrick, whatever next! Can you find this Sarah in 1841, see if she is in Churchill then? Not too common a name, let me know if you find a connection with the Cradley Kendricks, I have some notes on them. It was common for Cradley people to move down into Lye/Old Swinford/Stourbridge, a lot of mine did. Happy hunting from linell.
Ok Rachel here is another one not sure where this fits in...we could do wit you joining connections and adding this stuff... Is this the Joseph we were expectin the father to be Thomas?

Great NL, thank you. Just the middle one didn't pan out then, cos yes my Joseph would have father Thomas. I think perhaps Joseph and his 'wife' Eliza didn't legally marry, same as brother James and 'wife' Sarah Hill.
I'm ordering some certs tomorrow cos I think that might help me get further. Will add it all to connections when you've given me the link.
Well dont order any certs that I can look up at the archives....save your money! the marriage certs are the same info from the church info as the regis office uses!
That's very kind NL. Just don't want to inundate you with requests! Have started to add to connections but having some technical difficulties which I've PM'd you about.
Now you've established that Sarah Hodgkiss, formerly Kendrick, is daug of Thomas K b.1802 I am puzzled by some things. I am presuming the children who appear with Thomas in 1841 (inc Sarah) are all his children. So he probably had a first wife? Don't know who? Need to find where his son and daug, Thomas and Elizabeth ended up.
His second wife Ann, I can't find a marriage for, and he also has a daughter with Ann named Sarah - born about 1851. Would it be normal to name a child with a subsequent wife, the same as a daughter you already had, who was still alive?!
Good thinking Linell. I will look for possible baptisms of the older 3 children, and the younger ones, and maybe any marriages of Thomas at all lol.
These might be the first marriage? All children of a Thomas Kendrick and Mary, all extracted.

No Elizabeth here though, so not sure where that would fit in. And this Maria & Esther weren't with dad Thomas in 1841 so maybe they died or were somewhere else. Something else to look for!
Considering that I can't find a marriage for any of the brothers Thomas b.1802 (partner Ann), Joseph b.1810 (partner Eliza) or James b.1806 (partner Sarah Hill) I think for some reason they perhaps didn't want to, or couldn't, marry in the C of E churches? I can't find William b.1814 after the 1851 census, and Richard b.1819 is missing in '61 appears in '71 then disappears again.
Waiting on some birth and death certificates I've ordered otherwise I'm stuck. Probably won't arrive for a week or so? Depends how fast the GRO are these days.
Can archive topic if you want, and maybe come back to it when I get these certs? Thanks NL.
The father is indeed a James Bricklayer so I have added to the tree.
Rachel see what you think....wonder about her being consistantly down as Hannah on the census. But it must be the correct James as father checks out as does age and area
