Charles William Vaughan married Violet Udine Pritchard nee Jones (she was a widow) 29 may 1920

the marriage cert states he was 30 yrs a bachelor, a tube inspector,
living in Slater street West Bromwich and father was Charles Vaughan a gas works storekeeper

there children were Hilda, Raymond, Ethel, Denis.
Violet already had two children before she married Charles by her first husband Horace pritchard,
they were...Laura and Leonard Pritchard

now here's the questions......
years ago my father told me that Charles was from county Cork in Ireland
I don't have an exact birth for him so do I accept they fibbed and perhaps believe
that a Charles William Vaughan born in 1888 West Bromwich is one and the same man
or do I discount him completely and search for an Irish man?

someone has saved this man as there relative on ancestry but says
that he was married to someone before Violet but it says bachelor on his marriage cert

hope someone can help me trace this important branch of my tree

how can I get to the truth of this?

even if i bought a birth certificate I still wouldnt know
if he is the Charles William Vaughan I am looking for
or would I?

I know where his grave is...its in Heath lane cemetry, he is with his wife Violet
and later my father Denis Vaughan, there are no details on the grave as there is no proper grave stone
so would the burial records actually reveal anything about his birthday?

sorry to ask such complicated questions
I have found a charles vaughan b 188 on 2 census but again i just dont know if this is my relative
I hope someone can hel me trace this important branch of my tree
