New 1837-2006 birth index on Find My Past

Post by MarkCDodd »

Does several cool things that others don't.

a) Lists unnamed births.
b) Can search for both the mother's maiden name as well as the child's surname in the "mother" field at the same time.
c) Handles the "first letter only" part of a name a lot better.

Find My Past has always had the best "similar to" search algorithm as well.

Since this has been fully re-indexed with much higher quality scans I expect their transcription errors to be a lot less that others as well.
