I have the Skidmore book by Linda Moffatt here, Jan, if I can be of any help. Eliza Jane was the daughter of Isaiah Skidmore b. 1837 Dudley and Sylvia Davies b. about 1848 Lye marr. 1865 St John's Kates Hill. Isaiah was the son of Jeremiah Skidmore bpt. 1804 Old Swinford and Mary Round c. 1808 marr. 1834 Old Swinford. Jeremiah was the son of Frederick bpt. 1780 Old Swinford and Susannah Edge c. 1786 on 6 Feb. 1804 at Kingswinford. Frederick was the son of Obadiah Skidmore bpt. Old Swinford 1742 and Rebecca Shaw c. 1747 marr. 17 July 1768 Oldswinford. Obadiah was the son of Benjamin 1718/19 and Mary Hatton b. 1721 marr. 6 March 1739 Old Swinford. Benjamin was the son of John bpt. 1681 Kingswinford and Penelope Skidmore marr. c. 1700. John was the son of Francis Skidmore and Ann Glover marr. 1675/6 Kingswinford, son of William Skidmore and Joyce Batch marr. 24 Jan 1624/5 in Kingswinford. That seems to be as far back as is known.
