*Archived* Barnsley Chapmans before 1831

Post by geoff3 »

I've traced my family back to Joseph Chapman (born 1831), married in 1855 to Jane Chapman (born 1836) and who had Mary Jane, Albert, Lily and Joseph as children. All lived in Barnsley.
Can anybody give me any info on Josephs ancestors?

Hi Geoff

The marriage certificate should have at least his father's name and sometimes the witnesses are also family.
The 1841 & 1851 will probably have him with his parents and siblings while the later ones will have his own family 8)

Wow I'm impressed Alec, thanks a lot for your efforts.
I'll get down straight away to integrating this info into my family tree.
