BRICK WALL for marriage in Dorset or Wiltshire circa 1630 -37
I have hit a brick wall in finding the maiden name of my many times great grandmother. I am her 8th generation grandson.
Her name was Elizabeth and she married Edward Buckler (one time Chaplain to Oliver Cromwell) who was born in 1610 at Boreham, Warminster, Wiltshire.
She is thought to have had her first child by Edward in 1637 so I assume they were married not very long before that event.
Edward was a Rector at Bradford Abbas, Dorset from 1637 -1646 after matriculating at Oxford so Bradford Abbas would be a starting point for their marriage record.
Elizabeth's name has often been shown as Elizabeth {Bradford} and this has led some to believe that Bradford was her maiden name but I think it may relate to her place of birth, if that might have been at Bradford Abbas?
Any help would be most gratefully received on this one please.
