OK thanks for all those. I think you've answered my original queries. :P

The Charles Billington from the BCC, and the IGI record for a John Billington baptised at Halesowen 1812 seem to have some scope for being relevant, but I can't be definitive about those. I've not had any success in locating any of the other Billingtons Baptised at Halesowen at about the same time from the IGI, on the later 1841 census.

linell wrote:I think that most of the Langley/Warley christenings were at Halesowen. I found these, St John the Baptist Halesowen:-

6.10.1835 Charles Billington illegitimate son of Rebecca Billington of Langley Green Nailer.
15.3.1829 William Billington son of Charles and Sarah Billington of Langley Green Labourer.
17.9.1826 Edward son of Charles and Sarah Billington of Langley Green Labourer.

Your Obedience and Richard are not in the Halesowen Register, they may have been baptised at a Non Conformist Chapel, or not at all? Warley did come under Halesowen until 1844, so the Census would say born Halesowen, even if it was Langley.

There is a potential match for a William, Edward and Thomas Billington on the 1841 census who are resident at Langley Green. So I'd be curious to know if there are any more details on the St. John's (Halesowen) Parish record for the following IGI entries:

Christenings (All with Charles and Sarah/Sally as parents)

1. JOHN BILLINGTON - Gender: Male Christening: 27 DEC 1812 Halesowen, Worcester, England

2. MARY BILLINGTON - Gender: Female Christening: 29 JUL 1810 Halesowen, Worcester, England

3. ELIZABETH BILLINGTON - Gender: Female Christening: 14 FEB 1819 Halesowen, Worcester, England

4. REBEKAH BILLINGTON - Gender: Female Christening: 11 JUN 1815 Halesowen, Worcester, England

5. SARAH BILLINGTON - Gender: Female Christening: 11 FEB 1821 Halesowen, Worcester, England

6. THOMAS BILLINGTON - Gender: Male Christening: 12 SEP 1824 Halesowen, Worcester, England

Marriage

MARY BILLINGTON & Matthew Gould - Marriage: 11 MAY 1835 Halesowen, Worcester, England

I already know that (my) John Billington was born at Langley Green and was married at St. Martins, Warks in Birmingham, but don't know his father. There is also a marriage record for an Elizabeth Billington at St. Martins, whose father was Charles.

Thanks very much for that linell. It's really appreciated, and gives me things to consider. The John Billington of this thread could well be the one christened in 1812, but there's no direct link from the records.
