George Dawson (b 1838 Essendine, Rutland) Marries a Louisa (b 1835-1838 Essendine, Rutland)

Their first child, Louisa Dawson is born 1862, so i am (maybe wrongly) assuming its before that.

The family is based in Essendine and all relatives seems to stay here, so Id expect to see it listed as Oakham, Stamford or somewhere else nearby, but cant find it!

I was just looking at it on Ancestry, and I totally agree, you would have to be blind to say it was Laura.

one census lists her birth at Swinstead, Lincolnshire

[Fatman]

but other censuses show her as born Bourn, Lincolnshire, England

So think thats it!
