Find that marriage pt2!

Post by Fatman »

Oh dear! One side of my family I cant find marriages for hardly any of them!

The 1901 Census shows Thomas J Speechley (b circa 1898 Yaxley) Married to a Clara (b circa 1870 Rutland), but i cant find a marriage record for it!
I also believe that Clara remarried a Walker at some point but I dont know when.

Any help please?

Hmm if Clara had married a Walker and had the step child Annie before marrying Thomas J, would her surname on the second marriage show her maiden name or her first marriage surname?

Can we assume Walker is her maiden name or the name of the father of Annie?

You would tell because her fathers name would be there and it would have either spinster or widow.
Seems a bit close to be a widow I would have thought if Annies birth is right in 1891?

Hmm any chance Arrabella's Surname could be Christian and not Chrishan? That would fit with the grandparents on the census of 1881?
