Find that marriage!

Post by Fatman »

I am looking for the marriage of Samuel Hall and Letitia which happened before 1851 around Smethwick/Kings Norton.

They can be found on the 1851 Census, living in Bearwood Hill Harborne, but Letitia is dead by 1861, possibly in 1855 and Samuel is remarried to Jane and living in the Sow and Pigs pub in the 1861 Census.

I can find no record in Free BMD, i had thought they have been married before 1837 and so the records wouldnt be there, but that would make Elizabeth just 18 as she was born circa 1819.

Any help please?

There won't be any father's names as the Marriage was before July 1837, should be a couple of witnesses, sometimes they are Church Officials, which can send you off on the wrong track.
