Non Football Fans

Post by snoopysue »

Apart from genealogy, what's everyone who's not even remotely interested in the World Cup doing??

I'll be in the garden, weather permitting, down the gym when it's not, and maybe catching up on the pile of unread books. Luckily we've got a fair few party's in the next month, and it's Saint Hans Eve next wednesday, which means that it's a few sausages on the barbecue, and then down to the beech for the bonfire - (it's a danish thing to celebrate mid summer, closest thing I get to Bonfire night, unless I hold that myself!).

Been busy here but hubby has just gone back to work so will have a little more time.
Gardening... hubby has just put a new fence up so theres some digging to do and may be some grass seed down?
Washing gravel
Moving plants.
Son moved back home but I am NOT putting any of his stuff away! Please remind me I said that!
Middle daughters 21st birthday, reminded me I should really stay at home
Youngest daughters birthday next week, along with a few good friends and step mother in laws and fathers day. So no money!
Helping my Mum as she has shingles...
So apart from, pulling my hair out I hope to spend more time here and may be a bit of sun in the garden!
NO football mind!

I shall have to look up St Hans eve, Ive never heard of it. Is that the 21st? Hope you have a good time mind.
Jo :)

It's the 23rd June. It's actually St John the Baptists Eve!
They burn an effigy of a witch (a bit like the Guy on bonfire night), it's all a bit pagan mixed with a bit of christianity to make it legitimate I suppose!! It's a good night anyway, although slightly depressing because then you know the nights are drawing in again.
