On several occasions over the last three months I have reported the fact that this site will not accept Gedcoms that work perfectly well on Ancestry, Genes Reunited, TheGenealogist, Find My Past and Rootsweb.
Firefox will not even start to upload the files.
Internet Explorer will not go from the upload to import step.
No other computer or browser I have tried has had any more success.
I am an IT Analyst with over 30 years experience who designs web sites and writes software for them so if I am having problems I can only imagine what the non-technical user is experiencing.
I have been told on two occasions to send my gedcoms to a particular e-mail address. I do so and then NOTHING happens.
The tree viewing tools fail constantly on Firefox and are not so stable on Internet Explorer.
Most of the data within the One Great Family tree is poor with no consistent date or place formatting and zero sources quoted for verification.
Today was the last straw. I cut back my gedcom file to bare minimum data in the hope it would load.
All was looking good. It spent HOURS going through the upload, import, matching etc.
Then its tells me it has finished but only 8 out of the 9800 people in the Gedcom file are visible.
I will keep my accounts with Ancestry, Genes Reunited, TheGenealogist, Find My Past and World Vital Records as they have provided me with value and funtionality.
Your site has been the most frustrating, poorly supported, unstable, unusable and biggest waste of money I have ever experienced on the Internet.
The fact I can't cancel my account with the simply click of a button just adds to the feeling that OnGreatFamily has just been OneGreatWasteOfTime.

I suspect it felt better to get that lot off your chest - you sound a bit upset with them!
