Another newbie

Hi there!
I've only recently started researching my family history and already I'm hooked!
My father's family came from south Yorkshire but I'm Black Country born and bred and at the moment I'm trying to find out more about the life and times of my g.g.g grandfather who was a miner and then charter master in the Dudley/Oldbury area. As well as the Montgomery family I would love to hear from anyone researching Rudge/Bale/Larkinson in the Staffs area, Mobley in Sheffield/Cumbria and Mathers in Derby/Leics.
