In 1841 Enoch Dingley is living with William & Sarah Dingley & 4 other little Dingleys at Long Lane, Hill, Halesowen.

In 1851 Enoch Dingley is living with with Sarah Dingley & 6 other little Dingleys at Malt Mill Lane, The Hill, Halesowen.

There appears to be no other census records for Enoch after this. There is a death for an Enoch Dingley [age 46] registered at Dudley in 1876 [volume 6c page 2].

There's a couple of trees on ancestry that feature an Enoch Dingley born about 1830 in Halesowen & identify his parents as William & Sarah Dingley and show him as the father of a Job Dingley [1860-1927].

Now here's where it gets interesting: There's a marriage registered in 1857: HADLEY Enoch TAYLOR Martha 1857 Rowley Regis, St Giles West Midlands Sandwell Register Office 18/2/400;

In 1861 an Enoch and Martha Hadley are lodging in the abode of a Joseph Ward along with a couple of their children including a Job born about 1860.

In 1871 an Enoch & Martha Hadley are living in Rowley Regis with 5 children, including a Job born about 1860.

In 1881 Martha Hadley, a widow, is living at 14 Hawes Lane Rowley Regis with 5 children.

Do you reckon Enoch Hadley & Enoch Dingley are one & the same?

I think the key to this is the fact that Enoch OR eNOCK was born circa 1831 and the people identified as his parents on BCC, William & Rebeccca, did not marry until 1833.
IGI extracted [M085731] 01 SEP 1833 Harborne, Stafford, England William DINGLEY & Rebecca HADLEY.

It would appear to me that for some reason Enoch/Enock reverted to his mother's maiden name.
