Added some more to BCC
So Mary and Nancy were sisters and daus of Stephen Dearn and Sarah
but
that Mary may not be the one that married a Thomas Cutler

They must be 2 different Thomas Cutlers as they are having kids at the same time
so they must be different Mary Dearns
or have I lost it

I think one Thomas signs one makes X on marriage

and one has parents Samuel and Phebe--call kids Samuel and Phebe
and
the other John and Sarah or John and Mary he was keen to call kids John

Oh I hate these Cutlers and Dearns!

I am pretty sure we have the one marriage pinned down.

Thomas Cutler baptised 15th Oct 1769, St Johns, with parents Samuel and Phoebe (Phebe) married Mary Dearn, baptised 30 Sep 1770, parents John and Sarah.

Wedding was 17th Jan 1790.

I believe it was this 1770 Mary Dearn and not the sister of Nancy Dearn. That Mary (1777) would have been too young (13 or 14yo).

My concern is to pin down the correct Thomas Cutler who married Nancy Dearn, daughter of Stephen and Sarah, on the 12th Jun 1791.

I know he was buried Bromsgrove 23rd Aug 1840 and his wife Nancy on the 10 Mar 1844.

We have several Thomas Cutlers who fit the bill (and I have just mentioned those born Halesowen. There are even more born in close parishes of the right age).

I think we need tolook at the original parish records and not just the transcripts.

Need to look up some burials as well.

Sticking them in Requests...
