Hello All
My name is Ann, based in Sydney, Australia. Absolutely fascinated by your "Black Country", with it's Chainmakers, Nailers, Blacksmiths, Whitesmiths etc. Researching the Dudley family of my great-grandfather, John Edward DAVIES, born 1851, son of Abner DAVIES, Chainmaker (c1829-1892) and Emma JEWKES (1831-c1861). Have scant details of the preceding generation, but would love to find out MORE!

Re: Hello All
Hi Ann Welcome to the forum
I think you contacted the Black Country Connections site and Kdw has been in dialogue with you.
So you know about the BCC tree.
Now we happen to have a dedicated Black Country Genealogy section too!
So just scroll down the main board and you will find us.
Do post anything that you may have a query with in that section for that area.
for other areas we have the Gen discussion section.
As regards the BCC tree and joining do PM Kdw (private message) and she will let you
know how we work the BCC tree
Cheers Jan

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Another Oz!
Hellow and welcome.
I hope your Davies stay around the Black Country. If they end up in Wales or even Shropshire you will go mad trying to sort them out
