Hello

Post by p1kef1sh »

I have just arrived and would like to say hello to all. I have been researching the Dunns of Ashby de la Zouch and have now discovered that it is highly likely that they arrived there from Dudley in 1787 in the shape of Noah Dunn. Noah was one of several brothers and sisters the children of James Dunn and Mary (Edson?). I am especially interested in learning about his brother Richard Minor Dunn. I live in Salisbury in Wiltshire and have a great interest in medieval history, especially the reign of King John. I am a Guide in Salisbury Cathedral where we have one surviving copy of the original Magna Carta dating from June 1215. Being able to access such history is a privilege and one that I am very honoured to be trusted with. I look forward to getting to know the people on the forum better as we all hopefully progress our research and studies.

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Hi Pikefish and welcome.

I think you already know about the Black Country Connections site.
If you scroll down the board you will find the Black Country Genealogy section
so any from that area do post in there and we will do our best to help you.
