Hello (Dodson, Downing - Rowley Regis)

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this site but have been researching my family tree on and off since 2008, mainly using the Genes Reunited. I originally set out to research my father's side of the family but a whole forest seemed to grow on my mom's side and over take my original plan. I have managed to trace my maternal grandfather's mother's ancestry. I am currently back to where I originally set out to do researching my father's side of the family, particularly the Dodson ancestry. My grandfather was Kenneth Dodson. I believe his mother and father were both from the Rowley Regis area and were Sidney Dodson and Sarah Tromans. Kenneth had a brother George. Kenneth married Thelma Downing. Her siblings were Edna, Hubert, Frederick, Dorothy, Mary and Margery. I believe her parents were from Cradley Heath and were Frederick Downing and Elsie Walker.

I would love to hear from anyone who may be able to help.

You will link to a few of us on here with Dodsons

I must get all the Dodsons on BCC ...will try and do that asap

Now your Sidney and Sarah do put a post in the Black Country Genealogy re this and we can help you move on it.
Just check you have the info correct that it is deffo Sidney Dodson and he married a Sarah
if your grandfather is deceased and is Kenneth Dodson we can start there moving back.
but keep this for Intros and let's help you in the section below

I think we might have a new cousin folks
