Any chance you could look up his brother William Tooth and wife Henrietta Tooth in 1911?
Probably in Blackheath

You have all inspired me- as you are all so fabulous at finding name variants/transcription errors can I set you a challenge to find Henrietta Tooth in 1901- not with husband but probably with Henrietta age 6 and son Albert and probably another child or 2 - I forget their dobs.

Thank you very much- Henry Hetta (Henrietta)- that is the one. I do remember seeing that before now-my notes are in such a muddle, but not quite as muddled as my brain.

Thank you for Selina- she is one of the clan and I did not have her before. Are there fuller details for her? I must have a copy of the henry Hetta one somewhere already.

The very big one is still Henrietta Tooth 1901 without hubby but probably with children . This is my single biggest family mystery and has been for 20 years plus.

I have the death cert for Henrietta somewhere- think that sounds right

Hi kdw,

I had thought of that but Dad does not think so and I imagine his mother would have mentioned it so I am guessing not. I can't find any return passage for them between 1900 and 1901 to confirm if William returned alone. I am sure they would have travelled from Boston to Liverpool for the return voyage.
The only clue I have is a letter from a relative suggesting Wrights Lane in Cradley Heath but may be later once the family were all together.

William Tooth was staying with the Gadd family in Horse Shoe Inn Waterfall Lane/Station Road, Old Hill who were relatives on Henrietta's side.

Hi kdw and peterd,

I have never come across Cornelius before. Was his surname Tooth which would make him William's relative. I am sure he is not a brother as I have studied that part of the family before but perhaps an unknown cousin? What are the naems of the rest of his children/wife- there are several common family names that I may recognise.

I don't know what had become of Ethel by 1911.-just asked Dad and he has reminded me Ethel Tooth married Pat Crow (an American) in Liverpool-date not sure but think this may be one NL/& others found for me on here recently? Can look back and check. Can't see it it on search but must be getting muddled again.
