It's a load of Twaddle - Rip Off Day I call it. Why do you need "one day" to tell your loved one that you love them. I tell my other half every day

We dont normally ever do anythng for valentines day. Well once I did cook a meal but he worked late and it was spoilt
My youngest has a card to give her friend for a laugh. My husband was saying about it and I said what i had seen on tv people buying all sorts for the day and how silly it was!
Next thing he came in and gave me some perfume! But said it was ok because its still the 13th!
I did feel awfull.

Agree BC Wench , I don't think you need a special day and it is a Rip Off, florist shop had bunches of Roses for sale at £39.99  well that is what I call a Rip Off.
No I won't be sending a card ,I know I'm a skin flint .

I tell my wife contantly how much I love her. I do not need a special day to remind me to do so.

It was usefull for getting nookies when I was younger so I still have affection for it :)

I made an origami heart out of red paper, containing a heart shaped sweet....left it where my valentine would find it in the morning.
Was woken at 9:30 to breakfast and a bunch of red roses.
I think Valentine's day is great :-)

I like!

I love special days of any sort. We don't have to spend much money, but it's good to celebrate as much and as often as possible ... We'll be a long time dead.
