can we find this one pls on census need to pin point his dob
we have 1815 think he may be the 1808 one

and we need to add that Hannah smith as a probable to the notes

James Portman marries Hannah Forrest in 1778

son is James Portman b 1785 but bapt as an adult in 1807 age 22

James marries Ann/Hannah Smith in 1806

and have James Portman b 1808
and
William Portman b 1807

look at that adult bapt it is same date as Wm in 26 July 1807
I bet son and father done same day

sticking point is that 1815 bapt
and the 1808 one for sone James

I now think that his parents are James and Ann
so did the 1808 one die?

next door to father

I am going with the 1815 one
he dies betw 1841 and 1851
so without sending for birth cert
but the age of Sarah is 35 on 1851

I think he is the 1815 bapt to James and ann

fits with the others all James and Ann

so this is completed now
