*Arc tbc* -----Dimmocks in Mushroom Green - 1841

Post by Pudsey to Howard »

Hi

While we were exploring the Yardley / Dimmock connection I noticed there were other Dimmocks in Mushroom Green in 1841:

Joseph Dimmock 60 Labourer Yes
Mary Dimmock 65 Yes
Ellen Weaver 9 Yes

I was wondering if this lot were in fact the Joseph & Mary that are on BCC:

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =831739488

Joseph's age is way out but Mary's is a lot closer. Ellen Weaver could be the daughter of Joseph Weaver & Prudence Dimmock [IGI extracted C025071] & therefore the grandaughter of Joseph & Mary Dimmock.

Both Joseph Weaver & Prudence are on BCC.

What do you reckon?

Hi

Unfortunately I haven't got a death certificate - have tp watch the farthings you know - had a bad experience with one starnd of the family which took 3 attempts [and associated credit card charges] to get the right one.

Both Joseph & Mary do not appear to be in the 1851 census.

I have a nagging suspicion that the John Dimmock I mentioned in another post must link in somehow - he's still around in 1851 [wife identified as Ann instead of Nancy] and remains a neighbour of Samuel Yardley.

Doug I think we can add that census as that couple

I have had this from Dudley regis office just...they are excellent

"I can confirm one of the references you have given us is a possible match according to the ages you have given. This reference is DUD/012/244"

so I put between ages 60-80

and this one came out

let us know what you want to do with this one
that death cert I think is that one and I think it is yours
maybe add that census?

to be sure you would need that death cert
which would be interesting for the age

do you need any more on this

I'll put the death certificate on my to do list.

That should do it for now.
