If John is not on the IGI Doug, you will need to find some Parish Records. Have you tried the BMSGH for PR's?

Unfortunately I haven't got a death certificate - have tp watch the farthings you know - had a bad experience with one starnd of the family which took 3 attempts [and associated credit card charges] to get the right one.

Both Joseph & Mary do not appear to be in the 1851 census.

I have a nagging suspicion that the John Dimmock I mentioned in another post must link in somehow - he's still around in 1851 [wife identified as Ann instead of Nancy] and remains a neighbour of Samuel Yardley.

Hi

In 1851 John & Ann [Nancy?] are still in Mushroom Green.

Living with them is their son Benjamin [born abt. 1803 in Dudley] - possible IGI reference [extracted] C093711 - Park Lane Presbyterian, Cradley & his wife Sarah.

5 other possible kids on the IGI but no Thomas!

In regard to Benjamin's wife she could be a Sarah Scriven born abt. 1797 and christen at Dudley St Thomas. They may have married 25/8/1823 in Kingswinford {IGI submitted}.

Reckon we should shut this one down for now as until I can access parish records it's going nowhere fast.
