Rite ......now then.....Rocky did you notice what was written next to the entry!

Just to clear this up
Cornelius Priest and Cornelius Hewitt are the same person
I will tweak the tree in a bit as mother is not Phillis Priest
and I will amend

anyway here is what was written
and I will add to marriage info

Written by the vicar F J Clarke

" In the marriage entry no 55 the name of the man who was married should be Hewitt not Priest, the name
of his mother who was never married being Phyllis Hewitt. Nov 14 1853 F J Clarke.
Cornelius his mark X Hewitt / Mary her mark X Hewitt"

So annie that census info for Hewitt is one and the same for Cornelius
so is you wish to add that and the kids please do

but I would like if you add them to just check what they were registered as if Hewitt then we can add them as Hewitt

So do you think this 1841 works then? If his mother was Philis but as Fillis and her family around them?

Could it be a muddle in theese families from 1841 census?
Gosty Hill, Rowley Regis
Cornealious Priest, 60, Nailor
Fillis, 45,
Mary, 15,
Thommas, 15,
Sarah, 13,
Shusehannah, 10,
Joseph, 5,
Aliza, 20.

A couple of entries before theres,
Joseph Hewitt, 35, Nailor
Rebeck 12,
William, 10,
James, 8,
Caroline, 6,
Mary Ann 2

One before that,
Mary Hewitt, 60, Nailor
Hariet, 20,

Theres also Parkes near by too??

Checking on Childrens births and so far found no Selina or Ellen Hewitt but found these:-

Births Dec 1860
PRIEST Selina Dudley 6c 4

Births Dec 1853
PRIEST Ellen Dudley 6c 4

Births Jun 1854

I'm a bit slow my internet is playing up and keeps going off , going to check other kids before it goes again.
