Does anyone know if Police and/or Coroners reports are available for around 1869. Cheers Sandy

Re: Coroners Reports
Hi Sandy, I believe that Coroners Reports are a bit of a hit and miss. A lot of them were destroyed, you need to contact the Coroners Office, the one in Birmingham I would think. HTH from Linell.

Re: Coroners Reports
Sandy I have this info.....
Coroners reports are difficult to track down as it seems that
the majority of them got destroyed at some time after the inquest.
This happened because they were actually the property of the relevant
coroner who, surprisingly enough, actually owned them. Don't know
the current situation regarding coroners reports -but that's how it was
then.
The best chance of locating local stories lies with local archives and the British Library's
Newsaper Library at Colindale, North London. They have a huge collection
Look on their website for details

Sandy if you know when the inquest was then it was usually reported in the papers of the area
