Need help with these Fletchers

Post by linell »

Can't make sense of this, can everyone and anyone have a look and see what I am missing please :?: Here is the link:-

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =779810443

We have Matthew Fletcher aged 20, Wife Mary aged 20 son John Fletcher aged 1 in Spring Mire Dudley 1841.

Here they are in Woodside Dudley 1861:
Matthew Fletcher HD 43 Coal Miner born Netherton
Mary Wife 39 Netherton
John Son 21 Dudley
Joseph Son 19 Dudley
Wm Son 16 Dudley
Edward Son 13 Dudley
Rebecca DA 10 Dudley
Alice DA 7 RR
Eli Son 5 RR
Ellen DA 3 Dudley

All good so far, but then there is this for 1851 :?: :?:

Spring Mire Dudley
Matthew Fletcher HD 45
Mary Wife 45
Job Son 16
Elizabeth DA 9
Henry Son 11
John Son 4
:?: :?:

Where do those children come from :?: Matthew and Mary have the wrong ages. I am at a loss as what to enter for the children of Matthew and Mary. I checked Ancestry, Find My Past and S&N they all have the same information. Any ideas anyone :?: Linell.

Thanks for the input everyone, yes there are two lots of Matthew's and Mary's. I suppose this lot found by Maths Girl :-

1861 Waterloo Street New Dock, Dudley
FLETCHER, Mathew Head Married M 55 1806 Coal Miner Kingswinford Staffordshire
FLETCHER, Mary Wife Married F 56 1805 Dudley Worcestershire
HUMPIDGE, Betsey Daughter In Law Unmarried F 17 1844 Nailor Dudley Worcestershire

Could be the ones I found in 1851 Spring Mire with sons Job and Henry :?:

But then my Matthew Mary and John were in Spring Mire in 1841 :?:

I will have another look at it all tomorrow, many thanks from Linell.

Forgot to say they are all Miners all born Dudley so not much help there :!:

Ok this is completed for now, have removed the 1851 information from BCC. I presume the Matthew and Mary aged 45 in 1851 are another family :?: Many thanks from Linell.
