Found what I wrote down from the archives at the time for Phoebe's wedding

St Paul's Blackheath

26 Dec 1878

Isaac Tromans 24 B Chain maker Blackheath Samuel Tromans Chain maker
Phoebe Worton 25 S Nailer The Hill Edward Worton Nailer
Witnesses Eli & Ann Mogg

Eli & Ann Mogg were married in same church in Sep 1878 and one of the witnesses was down as Phoebe Wharton

Also when Elizabeth Wharton (my gt gran) remarried in 1899 at St Pauls, one of the witnesses was Charlotte Tromans

I know this still doesn't prove it but the other Phoebe was from Tipton

when you put your wortons on could you please spell them whorton the same as mumbles as this helps with searches and if the surname is different spelling you can added a note about it, any problems pm me pete
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.
