well ask for the cert and say you only want it if a father is listed if no father is listed you dont want it then it wont cost you anything if there no father
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Hello Jimmy
I have seen that bapt.entry for Ada,and wondered!!! and also the two deaths for
Catherine + Eva.
I can tell you, this lot certainly gave me some headaches trying to sort em out.
My g.grandad John Evan Ellis was baptised at home the same year he died,by a Catholic
priest,I think his 2nd wife, my g,gran(Irish catholic)probably panicked,as he'd never been
done!

Hi Jac,

It may be worth getting someone to check the Christening for Ada at the archives, to see what other details are on it, Address, and how it is worded etc.

Had a look at Ada's baptism..
Ada Ellis born 13 July 1863
Bapt 23 April 1875
Parents John+Kate fathers occupation tailor
Address 30,Garden Walk -back of Stafford St.Dudley.
Could John + Kate have been her god-parents? brother + sister, only this family seem
to be bigger liars than "Tum Pepper" whoever he is.
