Up to my eyes in paper

Post by BC Wench »

Doing a little housework this morning, dusting really, because with the sun shining through the window showed up all the dust. I then came to the room where my pc is and thought "I'll have a go at tidying this lot up" After about four hours, with a lunch break in between and a quite a few cuppas all made by my dear hubby, I'm still here with all this paperwork on my family tree. I thought computers were supposed to free up paperwork  Once it's done, I bet I wont be able to find anything.

I'm with Quentin crisp about the dust

"After four years," "you don't notice the dust."

I know what you mean about paper
still ploughing thru look ups and getting nowhere fast!

and it will be time for drinkie poos soon!
and I don't mean tea!!

Bet you feel better for having a good sort out bcwench, had to laugh about PC's and less paper work, the trouble is as NL knows, it is getting the paper work onto the PC! I cleaned all my house on New Year's Day, the sun shone and I couldn't stand looking at all those Cards anymore, so they all went in the bin and I dusted polished and hovered. I do like a clean sweep to the New Year, start as we mean to go on is my motto. Linell.

Yup, that's part of what I've been doing, getting the paperwork and scanning photos onto the computer. There were about 3 piles of paper all on the desk, now there's just one pile on the floor   At least I can open the door now.

BC Wench glad to know I'm not the only one with lots of papers , i've managed some sorting and cleaning to day because my broadband and laptop are both playing up.

I just closed the door on the study - don't go in there anymore. Now I'm taking over the living room!

I thought I was the only one with piles of paper everywhere - I pictured everyone else with cleared desks and efficient filing systems.

However........... I've promised myself that I will tackle this 'mountain' (sometime) - at least before the end of 2010!
