Oh peterd, Squire Moderator of Co. Durham and grangers14 how you both mock us so. I do so think that we have a North and South divide here, it is purely folly in the way we partake in a little dialogue. It would be enchanting if others would join us.

Methinks they protesteth too much and are in need of some spiritual guidance!
I shall be partaking of mine shortly!
A little too robust I venture in their diction, and I fear not too merry or varied with the wittisisms
Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative.

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

It is indeed Mike thank you (had to do a google search as I couldn't remember which play it came from  ) Squire peterd the quote is "Better a witty fool than a foolish wit" from Twelfth Night. You do mention faggots - what a delightful delicacy containing offal which so whets the appetitie I feel and washed down with a fine wine.

As an aside Mike, can I use "whets the appetite" or is the word whet used in a different context :?:
