Mary married David Smith on 19 April 1855 and had 4 children, Joseph (1856), William (1858), Caleb (1861) and Eli (1863). I know that Mary's father was Benjamin Tromans and that he was a chainmaker and I believe he was alive when Mary married. I have Mary on the 1861 censuses onwards, and I have a copy of her marriage certificate. I am struggling to find her and her father on the 1841 and 1851 censuses however. I've checked the BCC website and can't find a match there either, and there doesn't seem to be anything on the IGI. Mary had a niece called Alice who was born c1871 and was living with her and her husband on the 1881 census. Anyone have any ideas about Mary and her relatives as I'm getting rather bogged down on this one![]()
